M. Fatih Çıtlak

Born in Istanbul in 1967, M. Fatih Çıtlak completed his secondary education at Istanbul Fatih Imam-Hatip High School and studied Turkology at Marmara University. Alongside his university education, he pursued classical studies in Arabic and Islamic sciences under the guidance of respected scholars and was raised in traditional Sufi circles. He has participated in numerous educational and cultural initiatives both in Türkiye and abroad, and has produced widely followed radio and television programs on Islamic history, Sufism, and culture. In addition to contributing to various academic projects, he has served as a speaker at symposiums, panels, and conferences, and has held roles as a consultant and educator in the field of traditional arts and spirituality. For over fourteen years, his public Mesnevi commentary sessions—held at the Pendik Yunus Emre Cultural Center—have drawn large audiences, and are recognized as one of the most enduring cultural events in the modern era of the Republic. As one of the founders and the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İnsan ve İrfan Foundation, M. Fatih Çıtlak continues to serve the spiritual and cultural heritage of Anatolia. He is married with four children and currently serves as Sheikh of the Istanbul Sufi Ceremonies Ensemble.
