He was born on June 19, 1971, in Istanbul. Mesut Çakarlı has been immersed in the world of art since childhood, growing up as the child of parents who were both involved in theatre. He spent his infancy and early years backstage at theatres. He graduated from the Department of Social Services at Atatürk University and the Department of History at Anadolu University. He began his artistic career in 1982 with the children's play "Rüyaların En Güzeli" (“The Most Beautiful of Dreams”), directed by Hadi Çaman. In the same year, he appeared in the film "Aşkların En Güzeli" (“The Most Beautiful of Loves”), directed by Osman F. Seden and starring Kadir İnanır and Banu Alkan. For six years, he portrayed the main character “Memo” in the photo-novel "Memo", published in Hürriyet Kelebek and directed by Ersin Burak, which gained widespread acclaim. Çakarlı received his first artistic training on stage from renowned theatre masters such as Haldun Dormen, Hadi Çaman, and Nisa Serezli. From his primary school years onward, he appeared in numerous films and photo-novels, becoming one of Turkey's most beloved child stars. Throughout his career, he worked with acclaimed directors such as Yavuz Turgul, Ümit Efekan, Osman F. Seden, and Zeki Alasya, and acted alongside prominent artists like Kadir İnanır, Müjde Ar, İbrahim Tatlıses, Demet Akbağ, and Yılmaz Erdoğan. He played significant roles in over 50 films. He most recently acted in the film "Vizontele" and appeared in various television series. One of the most notable among these is "Bize Ne Oldu?" (“What Happened to Us?”), in which he starred with Fatma Girik and Sibel Can. In addition to his acting talent, Çakarlı possesses a powerful and unique vocal timbre. With his album "Yaralı Güneş" (“Wounded Sun”), he entered the music world. His expressive singing and skilled songwriting have proven him to be a “complete artist.”
